Venezuelan government explores joint investment projects with South Africa and Turkey.

Under the premise of establishing new cooperation alliances, the Minister of People’s Power for Industries and National Production, Jose Gregorio Biomorgi, held talks this Wednesday with the ambassadors in Venezuela of the Republic of South Africa and the Republic of Turkey, Joseph Nkosi, and Şevki Mütevellioğlu, respectively.

The head of the industrial office evaluated with the diplomats the possibility of reaching joint investment agreements and strengthening existing ties of friendship and cooperation during the development of both meetings.

In the case of South Africa, the parties discussed possible investments in the steel sector. They also discussed the intention of a group of South African businessmen to visit Venezuela.

At the end of 2021, Minister Biomorgi met with representatives of the South African company Eqol to advance toward the strengthening of binational cooperation.

Regarding the Turkish-Venezuelan alliance, the authorities evaluated the investment portfolio of the state-owned industries of both countries.

Caracas and Ankara have strengthened bilateral cooperation ties during the last few years, which has resulted in benefits for both peoples.
