Polytex’s capacity to satisfy the national demand for diapers is under evaluation

The People’s Power Minister of Industries and National Production, Jorge Arreaza, visited the private company Polytex in Maracay, Aragua state, where he verified the capacity of this company to satisfy the demand for national diapers with quality, without the need for imports.

“Untying knots. The diaper makers of Guarenas requested the withdrawal of the tariff on non-woven fabric to facilitate its importation. However, yesterday we visited the private company Polytex Maracay. They have enough capacity to meet the demand for diapers,” he said through his Twitter account @jaarreaza.

In this sense, he informed that from Polytex, they committed to supply 100% of the national diaper sector, with which, he considers, begins to fulfill the instruction of President Nicolas Maduro to replace imports in the manufacture of diapers.

“They are producers and exporters of great prestige,” acknowledged the minister, who since last weekend has maintained a deployment by state and private companies in the country with the vision of boosting domestic production.
