Minister Arreaza receives Alcasa workers after delivering technical aids made by the company

This Wednesday, the People’s Power Minister for Industries and National Production, Jorge Arreaza, welcomed a representative of CVG Aluminios del Caroní (Alcasa) after an event where they delivered technical aids to persons with disabilities, traumatology, and orthopedic patients. This event was held jointly with the Vice-Ministry for Supreme Social Happiness, the Dr. José Gregorio Hernández Mission, and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (Conapdis).

The meeting took place after the delivery of more than 70 technical aids handmade with aluminum transformed in the company Alcasa, in Puerto Ordaz, Bolivar State, with the inventiveness and labor of the workers of the state-owned industry, within the framework of the World Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The inventiveness of the workers of CVG Alcasa was evident during the workshop, despite the unfavorable effects of the illegal blockade imposed on the country.

The project for the manufacture of orthopedic and medical equipment and technical aids for people with disabilities of CVG Alcasa answers the social responsibility policy of this state-owned company dedicated to the transformation of aluminum. It also contemplates the production of orthopedic wheelchairs, folding walkers, a variety of canes, crutches, medical screens, and stretchers, among others.
