Venezuelan and Turkish institutions agree on a cooperation agenda to support small and medium-size industries

The Organization for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Turkey and the Institute for the Development of Small and Medium Industry (Inapymi) of Venezuela agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding to improve bilateral cooperation, in a first contact established on Thursday by representatives of both institutions.

During the telematic meeting, they discussed different areas of cooperation, including the exchange of knowledge and experiences, exchange of information on policies and measures to support small and medium industries, also, the identification of joint opportunities, and the organization of technical visits to both countries.

The representatives of both institutions also explored complementary projects in the textile, automotive, and manufacturing sectors, among others.

Venezuela and Turkey have expanded bilateral ties during the last few years, consolidating a strategic alliance of cooperation that covers different spheres, economic and commercial.

The presidents of both nations, Nicolas Maduro and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, discussed last December, in a telephone conversation, the challenges for the coming years and the need to move forward in all areas of cooperation for shared development.

The meeting between the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Organization representatives of the Republic of Turkey and the Venezuelan Small and Medium Industry Development Institute concluded with a commitment to design a concrete action plan between the two institutions.
